Frequently asked questions

Do I need to visit Estonia to establish a company?

No. With e‑Residency you can complete the entire process remotely and digitally. With the traditional approach, you can either visit a notary in person or grant us a power of attorney so we can handle it on your behalf.

How long does it take to register a company?

Via e‑Residency, the company can be registered within one working day after all documents are submitted. The traditional notary route typically takes a few weeks, depending on how quickly the power of attorney is processed. Applying for e‑Residency itself takes up to 30 days.

What is e‑Residency?

e‑Residency is a digital identity issued by the Estonian government that allows non-residents to use Estonian e-services, including establishing and managing a company 100% online from anywhere in the world.

Do I need to be an EU citizen?

No. Estonia's e‑Residency programme and company formation process is open to citizens of any country. There are very few restrictions on foreign ownership or management.

What fees should I expect beyond the package price?

Package prices do not include state fees (265 EUR for online registration or 200 EUR via notary), the e‑Residency application fee (150 EUR), or notary and translation costs where applicable. The quiz results will give you a full cost breakdown for your situation.
