We are delighted to announce that our firm has two new partners!
Attorney-at-law Sandra Sepp will lead our criminal law practice. Clients describe Sandra as a highly professional and thorough lawyer who makes complex matters understandable while maintaining a calm and supportive approach even in high-pressure situations.
Attorney-at-law Tauri Tigasson will head our real estate and construction law practice. He is valued for his proactive and strategic approach, clear communication, and ability to successfully guide even lengthy and complex processes to completion.
Both Sandra and Tauri have proven themselves through long-standing work and dedication. We are truly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing how, in their new roles, they will further advance our clients and our team!
Our new business and finance law expert – Attorney Karl Joonas Kendla
Attorney Karl Joonas Kendla graduated with distinction from all stages of legal studies at the University of Tartu. He lectures on the general part of the law of obligations at the same faculty and has also been awarded the University of Tartu Badge of Distinction.
His former colleagues from Ellex Raidla and Sorainen unanimously attest to his determination and strong work ethic. Similar feedback comes from the University of Tartu as well as from his clients, who greatly value his knowledge, reasoning, and communication skills.
Before joining our firm, Karl Joonas was involved in some of Estonia’s most significant transactions and projects, including the acquisitions of Maksekeskus and Graanul Invest, as well as IPOs and bond issuances of several listed companies. He has advised credit institutions and investment firms in licensing proceedings and represented clients in dispute resolution both in court and arbitration. He has also worked at the Ministry of Justice, where he contributed to legislative drafting and represented Estonia in European Commission working groups.
Karl Joonas has considerable international and academic experience – he has attended summer schools in Portugal and Salzburg, coached the University of Tartu team in the Willem C. Vis International Moot, and received recognition for his legal research and publications. His works have appeared in the journal Juridica and international publications such as Oxford Competition Law and the European Covered Bond Council Fact Book.
At our firm, Karl Joonas will focus primarily on business and finance law as well as dispute resolution. We are confident that his experience and knowledge will greatly contribute to providing our clients with the highest quality legal services.

Our new family law expert – Attorney Kristel Vaino
Attorney Kristel Vaino graduated cum laude with a Master of Laws from Tallinn University, holds a Master’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Tartu, and a Master’s degree in Health Technology from Tallinn University of Technology. She has also shared her knowledge as a lecturer at Tallinn Health Care College.
Before joining us, Kristel worked at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, where she served for years as a family law adviser and was actively involved in drafting legislative proposals and negotiating EU regulations.
At our firm, Kristel will focus primarily on family law, in which she is a true specialist, but she will also take on complex matters in medical law and other challenging areas – cases that may require more than one academic degree to solve!
